Sadly Mrs Seeley died in early July 2007 at age 80, and rests now forever, on the knoll on their farm with her husband Ed, who died last summer. She will forever be a part of my memory, and my life is richer for having known her and to call her friend. She was knitting mittens right up to the last two weeks of her life. I will continue to sell her beloved red mittens, keeping a good supply for myself, as her mittens have graced my fireplace mantle for many, many years. Rest in peace, precious lady. Thoughts of you continually bring a smile to my face.
This past spring Mrs Seeley knitted white mittens for me too. Mittens are available in white, bright red, OR the bright red overdyed with coffee to make them primitive looking. Specify which type mitten. They will be sold until they are gone. Limited supply.

SOLD OUT
..for more than 30 years I have bought handmade mittens from a woman at a craft show I have done with her, and become friends of her family. With an aged, ill husband, her mittens were often a large source of their income. When I began doing holiday open houses 20 years ago from my home, I asked her to make smaller red ones, to string across my fireplace on jute with old greyed clothes pins. Selling them for years, I want to share them with you!
