  the farm update
June 27, 2008

...my week has been exceptionally busy, and I am formulating a newsletter to send to you, but must get my thoughts together first, and as you know, my thoughts are rarely gathered.... so that will come the first of next week. Assuming the weekend will give me sufficient time..often also a rarity, as a gathered mind is occasionally difficult to come by.
I want to write you next week about a photo shoot done of our farmhouse yesterday by photographers and a stylist from Kansas City. Like me, you probably had no idea of what a 'shoot' involves. It is quite fascinating. We will be featured in a national magazine next March. Be still, my heart. Anyway, I will write of our day next week and tell you where our new things will be shown on our host sites.

But I wanted to get a quick note to you today. If by chance, you watch NBC's Dateline on TV, a death/murder of a local woman from McBain Michigan just about 20 miles over, as the crow flys,
is featured. It, of course, has been quite the controversy in this small farming community since the 2 years since her death. As most trials are, the families and the community is often divided, and this is no exception. What I will divulge is, that the verdict is just (my opinion).
Anyway, just wanted you to know that the NBC show tonight is a local Michigan story, one that captivated this community and all of northern Michigan and the UP (Upper Peninsula) where Juanita died.
I will write the first of the week, with details of the photo shoot and new things listed for the July 1 release of Lemon Poppy Seeds and Simply Primitives. Until then, pardon the more personal aspects of this letter, if you signed on to get only business end of what is for sale!
in fond regard,
Tilda,
